Getting a picture for the banner at the top of this blog is always unpredictable. This was one of our better shoots in terms of the happiness level of our children.

In recent year Thanksgiving has been celebrated at the Maloney’s. No major cousin fights helped make for a great time together thanking God for all that He has done for us.

This last picture is significant because the camera was sitting on the table and Kenny actually took this picture.

We didn’t want to put it off until the last minute, so we got our tree today, the day before Thanksgiving. It was actually nice because the tree farm wasn’t busy and we were able to drive our own car out into the tree fields.

Kenny is often right there with me trying to figure things out.

Emma kept us informed in which way the tree looked like it was going to fall.

Emma’s preschool celebrated Thanksgiving in costume. According to Emma, she was a Native American which is like an American Girl.

Kristi is our family’s longest mutual friend. I (Dana) met Kristi at the same time that I met Tammy while teaching in Viet Nam. Kristi had a flight that passed through Minneapolis, which allowed us to spend the afternoon with her at the Mall of America.

Kenny enjoyed some quality time at the Lionel Train Store.

Emma’s preschool participated in a few field trips this year. The most recent was a trip to one of the fire stations here in town.

Papa Swany has been doing some field work for a local farmer that goes to my parent’s church. Kenny and I dropped in this evening for a little ride on the tractor.

The sun kept peaking out from behind some low dark clouds, which made for a pretty nice picture.

Kenny got much more happy once we started moving. Once moving, Kenny just kept on smiling.

This is the sad little boy who had to say goodbye to the tractor and his Papa.
