Today was such an exciting day for Emma; she got first place all-around at the Stevens Point Gymnastic Meet! We are so proud of all her hard work and dedication even though she was sick. If you would like to see the awesome video Dana put together of her doing the different events you can check it out here.
For the past few years we make the trip to the Mall of America on New Years Day. Emma’s favorite thing is the new American Girl Doll of the Year comes out Jan. 1st. This year she got Isabelle with her Christmas money. Kenny’s favorite is the Lego store. Today he picked out the Gold Mine set.
Emma’s life is GYMNASTICS! This year Emma’s gymnastic team isn’t competing and instead focusing on new skills instead of routines. Although Emma misses competing this year it has been amazing all the new things she has learned. These pictures are from her teams “mock meet” or “muscle meet” where they did mostly level 4 skills.
Here you can watch Emma’s Floor Routine.
Every year around Emma’s birthday we take a picture of her in Great-Grandma Maxine’s wedding dress and Great-Grandmother Virginia’s swimming suit. They usually aren’t great pictures but its fun to see how much she has grown since last year.

Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us!
Instead of doing a big friend party this year we decided to have pizza and cupcakes for her gymnastics team right after practice. Kenny, Norah, and Landry came too.
It definitely was a busy fun day…family party, gymnastic practice for 2 hours, and then the gymnastics party. Happy 7th Birthday to our sweet girl. We love you!
Here’s all the fun from the American Girl doll party. Thanks to Grandma Swany for yet another amazing cake!
Our birthday tradition is to open the family presents right away in the morning. This year Emma even let Kenny and cousin Norah help open!
Emma wanted an American Girl doll party this year, so we started the day with brunch at the American Girl Doll cafe and then rides at the Mall of America.
We kicked off Emma’s birthday weekend with a pizza party at school and flowers from a “secret admirer” aka Dad. I am not sure who had more fun ~ Emma or Kenny. He thought he was pretty big stuff getting to hang out with all of Emma’s friends.
My friend Leslie always throws the most amazing parties. But I think this has to be one of my favorites. She did so much to make this Deer Hunting Party so special. Happy 3rd Birthday Ty!
Every year we go to a local tree farm and cut down our tree. Usually at the same time we try to get our Christmas card picture. With my sister and family in town we put her to work; she really did get some fun shots. Usually we just post the good ones but this time I decided to include some of the outtakes.
Here are some outtakes. I cannot figure out why making a collage makes the photos compressed and lose their sharpness.
This year Kenny definitely wasn’t excited to for his birthday photo shoot with Great Grandpa Maurice’s and Great Grandpa Kenneth’s hat. But doesn’t he look cute? This year is extra special because he fits into Grandma Kathy’s cowboy boots!
This is probably the last year that Kenny won’t have his own ideas about what he wants to be for Halloween. I love my little Barbie and Ken!
This year the Gorman’s joined us for trick-r-treating in our neighborhood.
This year Emma had a American Girl Halloween Party. Each girl brought their doll and had fun making a doll sized Halloween cape. They also decorated cookies and made American Girl sized candies.
